Britain is a country where old men now have the right to work until they are 'very' old men

Saturday 1st October 2011, could be the day Britain finally turned its back on age discrimination in the workplace because it was the day that the 'default retirement age', which gave employers the right to fire old men and women aged 65+ purely because of their age, was abolished.



The end of the DRA is the result of several years of campaigning by 'Age UK' who see it as a welcome victory for individual choice and economic independence – important principles in a modern liberal democracy.

SO, CAN BRITAIN CAN EXPECT TO SEE MORE OF THIS ? :
