Britain is a country whose beauty old men can see for the first time
I am intrigued by the symmetry of life - by the similarities between age and youth.
Between the age of birth and 5, we see, hear, touch, smell and think about the world for the first time. In age, we again, do those things for the first time again.
We old Brits are lucky. We live on an island. We have the beauty of landscapes and seascapes within distance and providing us with the opportunity to see the world for the first time. Urban landscapes are a less beautiful alternative.
Yesterday morning I took photos of my garden at 5.00 am and the at 9.00 and then, perhaps, I saw the garden for the first time.
